Semester II IS LIT

It's been so busy, literally, for these months. Being a journalism student is not that easy, that fun, that ... ah, no.
If others talk about how difficult the theories they learn, then we go through something really really really different, for sure. This semester feels so tiring, not because I study too much, but because I learn too much.
Can you differ study and learn?
I learn so much how to be a real journalist, and I found it crazy. Going places in a day, reporting this and reporting that, meeting some sources, it's tiring physically. Even more, krl is such a cheap yet wrong transportation if we need to enjoy the day and give rest to our body.
This semester takes me to places I never wonder to go this early: DPR, KPK, Kementerian Pemuda dan Olahraga, Istana Negara (tho I couldn't get in:" sooo sad. but someday I will!), 'Blusukan' Djarot, Metro TV, etc. (it's too manyyyyyy).
BUT
I also found it really fits in me! Well, I guess this is my real passion. Tho it's tiring physically, I really enjoy being a journalism student (and next the real journalist, AMEN). People say we can't make much money from being a journalist, and yes, it's true. But I'm sure, there are more incredible yet amazing experinces I will get in every day I go reporting. Sometimes, I think journalist's salary isn't worth the tiring days they go through. Whether it's sunny or rainy, a journalist should keep going for a news.
And that's what I'm going to do soon! Wish me luck!
This semester fills me with full of practical assignments and all is almost about journalism. Hope it strengthens me to be a REAL journalist, bcs it needs full heart to do journalism things, really.

Sekolah Baru: Van Lith

Lulus SMP, saatnya lanjut ke tingkat yang lebih tinggi. SMA. Gue bakal lanjut sekolah di SMA Pangudi Luhur Van Lith, Muntilan. Gue udah mikir mau lanjut ke SMA ini sejak lulus SD. SMA yang di-kepala-sekolah-i oleh bruder ini termasuk sekolah yang udah tua. Sebelumnya Van Lith termasuk SPG, Sekolah Pendidikan Guru. Namun akhirnya berubah jadi SMA Katolik. Sebelum daftar di VL, orang tua mau mantepin gue dulu, apakah gue siap jadi anak asrama atau enggak. Tapi, gue yakin banget mau jadi anak asrama di VL. Jadi gue daftar di VL dan Stella Duce 1 sebagai cadangannya. Di Stece (Stella Duce 1), gue bisa masuk tanpa tes. Jalur prestasi. Sedangkan di VL cuma ada 1 jalur, jalur tes. Pendaftaran bisa online, bisa offline. Karna letak jauh, jadi gue daftar online. Cukup ngisi data aja, tapi harus ngirim fotokopi rapor dari kelas 7-9 (semester I), fotokopi KK, dsb. Setelah daftar, gue rajin buat searching tentang VL, terutama tes dan kehidupan berasramanya. Nyokap yang rajin banget bantuin gue ...

How Long

It's a calm night So soft and so fine When I'm staring at the sky far from me a thousand stars are smiling to the moon and to the people who are staring at them and it's me, and you who are under that moon light in the different places we are standing still and I'm here hoping that the moon could answer the questions that are running on my mind for a second a minute an hour until days weeks and months I just don't understand how could the stars keep smiling even the sky goes darker the rain falls and the clouds hide them away dear moon, answer me how long will we keep this because this is something I never wanna lose #randompoem (04/12/17)

We Can't Still Believe 'Anggota DPR', Can We?

Ini sempet gue post di facebook gue,     Salah satu teori The 4 Freedoms dari F.D.Roosevelt itu kebebasan untuk berbicara dan berpendapat. Well, walaupun gue masih kecil gue tetep boleh dong berpendapat? Siapa aja boleh kan berpendapat? Walaupun masalah itu masalah orang dewasa, masalah negara, atau masalah apapun?      Gue pingin berpendapat tentang apa yg lagi heboh di Indonesia sekarang. Apa? Yep, DPR. Tau kan masalah apa tentang DPR? Itu tuu, tentang anggaran yg besar bangetttt yg dipake buat renovasi toilet, renovasi ruang rapat Badan Anggaran DPR RI, bikin absen anggota DPR, dsb. Asdfghjkl gue sebagai Warga Negara Indonesia pasti sebel dong ya. Kenapa gue sebel?      Siapa sih yg milih DPR? Emang sih yg nyalonin mereka bukan kita. Tapi mereka terpilih karena apa? Karena dukungan dari kita juga kan? Mungkin kita juga yg salah, kenapa mau milih mereka. Tapi nih ya, kebanyakan dari mereka kan emang orang yg bisa d...
